Synthetic nicotine will make the electronic cigarette free of tobacco

Synthetic nicotine has the same molecular formula as natural nicotine, but as an additive, it may not be included in the August FDA's electronic smoke regulations.

The next-generation lab is not the first company to produce synthetic nicotine, but it seems to be the first company to target the electronic cigarette market. Tully says synthetic nicotine tastes great in electronic fumes, as if it doesn't taste good. The process of extracting nicotine from Pictet involves heating the pipe until it becomes flushed and hot. When Tully opened the next-generation lab, a team spent two years calculating how to expand the process. The final synthesis consists of 4 important steps, which take about a week, and many steps involve heating and cooling to optimize the response.

Tully declined to disclose the details of the synthesis, saying it was still waiting for 3 patents.
